The Association of North Carolina Alphamen (ANCA) established the specialty license plate program, which is now administered by the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NC DMV). Proceeds from the sale of ANCA specialty plates—purchased by ANCA members and supporters—are directed by the NC DMV to support the Education Consortium of North Carolina’s (EDCONC) mission. These funds help provide scholarships, mentorship, and college readiness programs for underserved students across North Carolina.
